For schools
Made for the school the rest of the world forgot.
No coding experience needed. No technical setup. No extra workload for teachers. Just a structured, year-long programme that turns your students into builders.
What schools get
Everything you need. Nothing you don't.
A login for every student
Class code + avatar + 4-digit PIN. Works on shared devices. No emails, no passwords kids forget.
A teacher dashboard
See every child's milestone progress at a glance. Moderate parent feedback before kids see it.
Lesson plans and run sheets
Printable Big Idea cards, weekly check-ins, and a full Showcase Day pack. Designed for any timetable.
A school Gallery
A unique URL or QR code parents can use to browse and try every child's app. No accounts needed.
Devices we work on
Low-end Android tablets. Basic Chromebooks. Anything with a browser. We test on 3G connections.
Direct support
Email and WhatsApp support during pilot, in your timezone. We'll be there when you need us.
Teacher workload
We respect your teachers' time.
Teachers in low-income schools are stretched thinly enough already. Spark is built so your staff can run a whole year of world-class AI education in less time than they spend on marking next week's spellings.
30 mins
to kick off the year (we provide the script)
5 mins / week
to moderate parent Cheers
1 afternoon
to host the end-of-year Showcase
Safeguarding & data
Built safe. Not retrofitted.
We designed Spark from day one assuming a head teacher would ask us hard questions. Here are the answers.
Children never see public data
Apps are sandboxed. Sparky doesn't browse the web on the child's behalf. No external accounts ever required from a child.
All parent feedback is moderated
Every Cheer goes to the teacher first. They approve before it reaches the child. Safeguarding by default.
GDPR-ready and minimal data
We collect only what's needed: a first name, a year group, an avatar choice. No emails or photos of children.
Vetted AI models with classroom guardrails
Sparky runs on models tuned for child-safe interaction with topic and language guardrails baked in.
The pilot offer
Free for one full school year.
We're partnering with a small group of primary schools for our pilot year. In return, we ask for your honest feedback, monthly check-ins, and a willingness to host one Showcase Day. That's it.
Questions
The things head teachers usually ask us first.
How much does it cost during the pilot?
Nothing. The pilot year is fully free for partner schools. After the pilot we'll introduce paid tiers — but we'll always have a free tier for schools in low-income contexts.
Do teachers need any technical experience?
No. If you can use email, you can run Spark. Everything is designed around the assumption that teachers have no time and no extra hours.
What devices does it work on?
Any device with a modern browser. We've tested on devices as low-spec as a 4-year-old Android tablet. We optimise heavily for low-bandwidth situations.
What languages do you support?
English at launch. We're rolling out additional languages with our first cohort of schools. Tell us which language you need on the application form.
Who runs Spark?
Young Founders Foundation — a mission-driven company building tools that put creative power in the hands of children worldwide.
What does success look like for the pilot?
Every child publishes a real, working app by the end of the year. Parents engage with the Gallery. The school hosts a Showcase. Teachers tell us they'd run it again.
Make your school one of the first.
We're partnering with a small number of primary schools for our pilot year. It's free. It's supported. And the kids you teach will have built something real by the end of it.
